How to create new packages in WHM?

To create a new package in WHM :

Login to your WHM Control Panel and click the “Add Packages” setting on the lefthand side of the screen under the heading, “Packages.”

This page will display several boxes which you may fill in to determine what and will not be included in the package. The categories are as follows:

  • Package Name
  • Quota
  • Max Ftp Accounts
  • Max Email Accounts
  • Max Email Lists
  • Max SQL Databases
  • Max Sub Domains
  • Max Parked Domains
  • Max Addon Domains
  • IP
  • CGI Access
  • Frontpage Extensions
  • Bandwidth Limit
  • Cpanel Theme
  • Feature List

Package Name : In this box, enter the name that will be displayed for this package.

Quota: enter the amount of disk-space in which the package will give the user access to. The amount of space is calculated in megabytes, so if you enter 1000 they will be given 1000 mega bytes or 1 gig of space.



Max FTP Accounts :Now, for Max FTP Accounts enter how many FTP accounts users of this package will be allowed to have.

Max Email Accounts :For Max Email Accounts, enter the maximum amount of email accounts users of this package will be allowed to have.

Max Email Lists :In the Max Email Lists, enter the maximum amount of mailing lists users of this package will be allowed to have.

Max MySQL Databases :In the Max MySQL Databases box, enter the maximum amount of MySQL databases users of this package will be allowed to have.

Max Parked Domains :Next, for the Max Parked Domains box enter the maximum amount of parked domains users of this package will be allowed to have.

Max Addon Domains :In the Max Addon Domains box enter the maximum amount of addon domains users of this package will be allowed to have.

IP : Next, if you have extra IP’s and wish to assign them their own then change the IP box to Yes. If it is grayed out then you do not have any extra IP’s to assign.

CGI Access : If you wish for the package to allow CGI then leave the CGI Access box checked. Otherwise, un-check it.

Frontpage Extensions :The Frontpage Extensions box should be already checked. If you desire for users of this package to have frontpage extensions enabled then leave it check. Otherwise, uncheck it.

CPanel theme : Now, choose which CPanel theme users of this package will have as their default in the drop down box.

Feature List :Lastly, click the drop down box across from Feature List. If you do not have any additional features to add then leave it set to Default. Otherwise, select them and click on the button labeled as Create on the top of the page. This will take you to a new page where the package will be created.

You may now assign this package to newly added accounts
